Aphrodite - Goddess of Love, Beauty and Eternal Youth
Aphrodite - Goddess of Love, Beauty and Eternal Youth

Beauty, Love, Flirtatious, Feminine. With a colourful personality like Aphrodite I wanted something complex. Starting with a white rose in the centre representing being born from the ocean, I also incorporated Lavender which creates movement, like the waves and coral in the sea. The tiny pink petals depict a playfulness like sea horses in the depths..

Dionysus - The God of Wine, Festivity and Pleasure
Dionysus - The God of Wine, Festivity and Pleasure

Yellow and white were my choice in representing this God. Cheerful tones and explosions from the dried Queen Anne’s Lace like grapes from the vine, and green moss being associated with Earth and growth. The playfulness comes from the lines within the image, overlapping stems and free forming curled leaves.

Hades - The God of the Underworld
Hades - The God of the Underworld

Passion, Blood, Energy. This god was ruler of the Underworld. Visually I see a lot of red and dark purple associated with this name and wanted to make use of those tones with vividness.

Hera - The Goddess of Marriage
Hera - The Goddess of Marriage

Marriage and Fertility, she is Queen of all Gods/Goddess’. She also represents family however she has a vengeful side with passion. I've created strong feminine colours in this image representing a motherly tone like pinks and yellows together with a touch of darkness with the red roses added in.

Poseidon - The God of the Seas
Poseidon - The God of the Seas

The God of the Seas with the obvious choice of blue to represent the ocean. Vibrant Delphiniums as a strong placement in this image to represent strength and the cornflower petals displayed like rough seas hitting the rocks. Purple Statice floating within the image like coral in the sea..

Artemis - Goddess of the Hunt
Artemis - Goddess of the Hunt

Goddess of the Hunt and the natural environment including the moon. A strong heroine, feminine and confident. I choose white for purity, and stars in the sky. The seed pods representing the moon and the colour green in the Eucalyptus for nature.
